Hello, I have a Chinese elm bonsai are in dire need of pruning! It is the first After pruning me, and I think now is a good time because spring is here. What kind of tool I use to cut tree branches? Hello: I am a landscaper and designer. I use a small lawnmower and a pair of scissors. The small pruners are a way to start the trimming, pruning and end with scissors. This is a great way to get that defined the style you want with scissors. You can use trimmers largest and longest (loppers) to any larger branches. Be sure to cut at an angle, as the straight cut can damage the branches of the tree or shrub. I will link you to the proper pruning page of my website.
