I want to buy a heavy Dewalt 14.4V Cordless XRP 1 1 / 4 – Tax 2 1 / 2 16 Gauge finish nailer.?
I will buy this for some remodleing I'm doing around the house. Can I use it to install hardwood floors, if I can, how is compared to a floor nailer.
First, if you want complete a cordless nailer, I would strongly recommend the Paslode, rather than a piece of scrap DEWALT. But if you want a pure electric nailer consider the Senco. And no, it can be used to install an entire floor, 16 ga. fasteners are strong enough to hold more than secure the long term (without head) (the fine for use around the perimeter, where the nailer will not fit floors and there is little to no traffic). You can rent an entire floor nailer manual (Porta-Nailer) if you're trying to stay away from a compressor rental or purchase.
