Canadian Air Systems Co. is a designer and manufacturer of industrial air scrubbers for air cleaning. Moist air purifiers are available in many designs using a set of principles with wide variation in effectiveness, initial cost, operating and maintenance costs, space, arrangements and materials construction.
Canadian Air Systems Co. offers the following major Air Scrubber types:
SPRAY TOWERS / clamping SCRUBBING
Spray towers and compression washers are available in different arrangements. The gas stream may be subjected to a single application or a series of aerosols or gas impigne you may be forced into a series of screens for irrigation. Except for packed towers, these types of gas scrubbers have relatively low efficiency of removal particle that can be improved by adding high-pressure sprays.
CENTRIFUGAL AIR SCRUBBING
These scrubbers are characterized by a tangential inlet gas stream in the collector. Wet scrubbers are classified through energy. The Canadian Air Impingement Gas Scrubber Systems is a typical example Centrifugal wet type dust collector.
HOLE wet type SCRUBBING
In the orifice type wet dust collector current Gas is incident on the surface of the scrubbing liquid and is forced through constructions where the speed increases where gas and liquid-gas particles interaction that occurs. Water consumption in the orifice scrubber is limited to the loss by evaporation and removal of contaminants collected.
VENTURI SCRUBBER
A high energy venturi scrubber passes the gas through a venturi shaped orifice where the gas is accelerated to 12,000 fpm or more. Depending the design, the scrubbing liquid is added to, or before, the throat. The rapid acceleration of the gas shears liquid in a fine mist, increasing the likelihood of retention of fluid particles. In typical applications, the pressure drop of gases through a venturi is higher than for other types of washing. Water circulation is also higher, so venturi air scrubbers use water reclamation systems.
Electrostatic Air SCRUBBING
Several gas cleaning devices, designed by Canadian Air Systems Co., combine electric charge of particles with wet washing. Electrostatic increases gain control of fine particles, causing an electrical attraction between particles and liquid droplets. Compared with Venturi scrubbers, air scrubbers increases alectrostatically remove particles smaller than 1 micron in a pressure drop much lower.
There three designs generic to increase electrostatic air cleaning:
– Unipolar charged aerosols pass through a contact chamber elements randomly oriented packing of dielectric material;
– Unipolar charged aerosols pass through a venturi scrubber low energy air;
– Unipolar aerosol charges move into a spray chamber in which they are attracted to opposite charged liquid droplet.
Collection efficiencies of up to 90% may be achieved in a single particle charging and collecting stage, depending on the load mass of fine particles and superficial gas velocity in the collector. Efficienciescan Superior library obtained using two or more stages. Removal efficiency of gaseous pollutants depends on the mass transfer and absorption design section washing.
In most applications of static uagmented scrubbers, the dirty gas stream is turned off by the adiabatic cooling liquid aerosols and therefore contains a large amount of water vapor that wets the particulate contaminants. This moisture provides a dominant influence on the accession of particles and electrical resistivity of deposits within the collector Electrical equipment for particle charging is similat to wet precipitators. Section washing is usually equipped with a liquid recycle pump, recycle piping, and a liquid distribution system.
