Double queen, full and King are all terms that are familiar. These are the standard sizes used throughout the industry and typically bedding are available. For most people the queen and king size beds tend to be the most popular sizes, not by the width of these beds, but due to length. Queen and king size mattresses are 80 inches long and 6 feet 8 inches long. This works very well for many households, but what about the man who can not adjust a queen or king in space. Twin and full sizes are less extensive, but not enough for people to enjoy higher than the length of the queen and king mattresses. Is there an alternative available? There in the way of extra-long beds.
Extra beds that there are long for the simple purpose of taking a standard size as a double or full size and what is higher for individuals. This used to be a custom size in the industry, but many manufacturers are beginning to offer bed frames and mattresses in standard bed sizes XL to the delight of those who needed something, where a bed, but the width of a double bed or complete. These measures are often referred to as double XL, Full XL or extra long twin or full size bed and extra long.
Double standard size mattresses measure 39 inches by 75 inches long. When looking at a double extra long mattress measured 39 inches by 80 inches long. Standard size mattresses full extent of 54 inches by 75 inches long. Mattresses extra long full size measured 54 inches by 80 inches long. Five inches in length may not seem like much to many of us, but it's a big difference to someone who is 6 feet tall in comparison with someone who is 6 feet 6 inches tall.

Most of the time these measures have already been carried out using more lanes to existing headers. Some of these beds use a center support rail and this also becomes more consistent with the extra length of long side rails. California king beds but often require a different header wide as the standard width between a king and California king bed is out of about 4 inches. Some manufacturers can work around this by designing rails moving in the direction of the correct width of the California king bed, but often the head itself will be designed specifically for cal king size.
