Groove Router

As via a slot at the edge of a curved piece of wood?
I cut a semicircular groove in the edge of a piece of wood. If the piece was straight I could do it easily with a core drill, but because the piece is bent I can not imagine how to make work, and have found no other Strawberries that seem to help. Any ideas?
I would make a new base with 1 / 2 "plywood. Drill a hole in the center to remove bits. Fix two pieces of dowel to the bottom of the plate. This is a bit beaten and losing the setting but basically they are trying to introduce a dual point of contact. If you can get out of the workpiece large slot cut and then finish with the size that simplifies the problem of operating the slot end of the work.
