Pipe Wrench
I need help to loosen a shower head cold. Pipe wrench will not move him. Desperate!?
I am replacing a shower head. Simple. Just unscrew the old and the new screw. Except …… the old man, who has been in place for 40 + years, not moving. What can I do short of breaking the tube?
First, having two tubes pliers – long handle. Wrap the plier jaws with masking tape to avoid breaking things. Get some penetrating oil (WD-40works fine but the hardware store can help here, Liquid Wrench is a little better) oil drip at the junction of the head with the metal is allowed to stand for at least one Grip hours of the shower pipe (metal part) with a clamp to prevent tipping. Grip hand shower head (must have a flat) with pliers and turn.
